PROFILE OF GREEN SPORTS ACADEMY
Green Sports Academy is a sporting organization established to identify and develop sporting talents and also nurture those talents into professionals with international repute.
The organization seeks to provide facilities such as soccer pitches and Boxing Gymnasium necessary for the training and grooming of young talents between the ages of 12-23 to meet international standard and market.
In line with our objective, the Green Sports Academy periodically organizes sporting competitions and workshops within localities in its catchment area and beyond to unearth talents for the Academy. This programs targets talents within the age range of 10-23 years. The Organization has a Football Team which is preparing to play in the Division Three Soccer League in Ghana.
VISION
To identify sporting talents and transform them into professionals of international repute who are able and willing to help in eradicating or reducing the impact of poverty on their societies by supporting efforts to bring development to such communities.
MISSION
OUR mission is to transform our communities through the provision of opportunities to young people to grow their sporting talents and use the same talents as a tool of social and economic transformation.
ORGANIZATIONAL/GOVENANCE STRUCTURE
The Green Sports Academy is led by the Board or Governing Council chaired by a Chief Executive officer who is the founder of the Academy, Board of Trustees, Executive Board clothed with the authority to take decisions that leads to the realization of the vision of the organization.
BOARD PURPOSE
Their purpose is to provide the how to organization achieves the objectives for which it was set up. They establish the values underpinning the moral and ethical principles which find expression in the core ideology and beliefs of the organization.
The Board are clothed with the role to ensure the organization best practices which are in line with providing the standard that is acceptable worldwide.
Executive Board
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD
- Respecting all the laws that govern the state
- Abiding by strict ethical standards set out by the governing board
- Remaining fully accountable for its actions.
- Determine the direction of the organization.
- Guards its mission.
DUTIES
- Enforce organizational bye-laws
- Protect organization’s interest such as its image, financial interest, proper use of funds, properties, disciplining of members.
- Day to day operations of the organization
- Implement organization activities, programs and events. Meetings deadlines to implement organization activities set by the Governing Board.
